The Opportunity

Are you a detail-driven Payroll Officer with a passion for process improvement and service excellence? We're currently seeking a savvy, motivated individual to join our Finance team at our Tomago office on a full-time basis.

This is your opportunity to be part of a close-knit, supportive team where your contributions make a real difference. In this role, a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and time management is essential as is a friendly, approachable demeanour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee wages and related company payments
  • Maintaining and updating employee records, including salary adjustments and leave balances
  • Supporting month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to staff and management regarding payroll matters
  • Responding to payroll-related enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Assisting with process improvements, automation and simplification initiatives
  • Performing general payroll administration and data entry tasks
What We're Looking For
  • Previous payroll processing experience (essential)
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures and related documentation
  • Experience using payroll systems
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a focus on solutions and process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment
