We currently have approximately 550 independent living homes across 10 sites in South Australia and Victoria. Future growth plans include additional homes at both existing and new sites in South Australia.

OverviewYou will be primarily responsible for the following key areas:
Responsibilities- Performing the month-end and settlement procedures in Xero.
- Leading the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, investigating any discrepancies in the accounts, providing commentary and variance analysis.
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports and completion of necessary balance sheet reconciliations.
- Lead the development and presentation of budgets, forecasts and business cases.
- Monitor cash flow requirements via the analysis of actual and predicted performance and reporting to management weekly.
- Prepare, analyse and present financial reports to Site Managers, management and other stakeholders.
- Analysis and monitoring of financial and non-financial KPI's.
- Working with Site Managers to improve financial reporting.
- Ensure that accounting systems and processes meet required accounting standards and the needs of the business.
- Leading the annual audit process and the preparation of Financial Statements.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role in affiliated industry (Retirement, Aged Care, Building, Construction, Property Development, Real Estate Industries).
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced Degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CA preferred.
- Thorough and practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
- Previous experience working in a similar level role.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and CRM software.
This is a permanent full time position, based in the CBD.
