Overview

Parks & Urban Maintenance Apprenticeships – 2 positions: 1 in Lockhart and 1 in The Rock. Join a friendly team committed to enhancing our green spaces and gain hands-on experience while working towards your Certificate III in Parks and Gardens. This is a full-time apprenticeship with a stable, 9-day fortnight schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Help maintain our lush parks and gardens using best horticultural practices.
  • Get hands-on with street trees and assist in establishing tree plots.
  • Learn to operate equipment safely and effectively, including loaders and other machinery.
  • Contribute to the community by ensuring our green spaces are well-kept and welcoming.
Who We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable and punctual candidates with a passion for nature and a desire to learn. If you take pride in your work and have a positive attitude, we want to hear from you

  • Must have completed Year 10 or equivalent.
  • A valid Class C driver's licence or Provisional P1/P2 licence is essential.
  • Experience in basic gardening tasks (mowing, weeding, pruning) is a plus, but willingness to learn is more important.
  • Be ready to embrace the outdoors and work as part of a supportive team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Year 10 or equivalent completed.
  • Valid Class C driver's licence or Provisional P1/P2 licence.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in a structured apprenticeship program.
