Boatyard Hand – South of Perth Yacht Club

South of Perth Yacht Club, located on the picturesque Swan River in Applecross, is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join its professional team as a Boatyard Hand. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced marine service environment, with training provided to build skills in boatyard operations and waterfront activities.

The Role

Perform general labouring duties around the boatyard

Operate forklifts and pressure wash boats

Assist with lifting and standing vessels (training provided)

Conduct cleaning tasks and pick up parts as needed

Communicate effectively with staff and customers

Support trades with repairs, maintenance, and vessel operations

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Hold a current driver's licence and forklift licence

Be reliable, responsible, and willing to learn

Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude

Previous experience in a boatyard or working with heavy equipment is desirable

Additional Info

Permanent full-time: 38 hours per week

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm

Benefits include an excellent location, team environment, free parking, and staff meals on shift (Wednesday to Friday)
