Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Wayside and On-Board Service Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Wulkuraka, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the execution of maintenance activities on site in accordance with the contractual KPIs
• Ensure monitoring, analysing and reporting on-site system performance
• Ensure the execution of first level of troubleshooting on site in case of issues
• Ensure logs and dump files download from on-site equipment and provide first level of analysis
• Ensure monitoring of the day-to-day maintenance performance and provide technical reporting to the Client.
• Ensure the execution of on-site maintenance task ensuring the application of OHS and STS HSMS rules
• Ensure the availability of local stock and repair process activation
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Electrical Trade qualification (i.e. Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician) is essential
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field, including RPEQ, is desirable
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the Rail Signal industry with demonstrated capability and skills in:
  • Electrical equipment and high-risk environments
  • Use of Test equipment (e.g. Digital and Analog multi-meters, insulation meters, etc.)
  • Use of Computer based test software
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Incident/accident investigation
  • Knowledge of ERP and Configuration Management tools
  • Knowledge of Database tools
