The Firm

Nyman Gibson Miralis (NGM) is a leading and expanding Australian law firm based in Sydney that specialises in international and domestic criminal law including cross-border investigations and white-collar crime. We are recognized for providing the highest level of legal representation and our white-collar crime team is at the forefront of handling complex financial fraud cases including corporate misconduct and regulatory compliance.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and talented lawyer with a minimum of 2 years' experience to assist with complex tax and corporate crime regulatory investigations including international criminal law matters as well as white- collar crime, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and cyber-crime. This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of complex, high-profile regulatory and criminal investigations. Initially, the position is for a period of 12 months with the possibility to extend.

• Provide high quality legal advice
• Working with experts and barristers in complex litigious matters in domestic and cross-border investigations.
• Drafting legal documents including research and analysis for a range of complex legal issues.
• Liaising with clients, regulators, and enforcement agencies.
• Developing and implementing defence strategies for clients facing allegations of financial misconduct.
• Opportunity to work with a dynamic team of legal professionals including senior lawyers and partners.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will have experience in serious financial crime with large and complex investigations/litigation matters.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience specialising in white-collar crime
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and corporate law
• Analytical and inquisitive mind set, strong work ethic, committed and reliable
• Ability to prioritise work with a team to meet time sensitive deadlines
• Ability to analyse and work with large volumes of digital information
• Candidate must have full working rights to be considered
