Paid Search Lead

We're building a leaner, smarter media agency with a laser focus on helping ambitious brands outcompete the market. About the job: You will be a senior member of our Search team, responsible for working with our growing number of clients and helping to build our internal search capability and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategy and execution of SEM on Google and Bing ad accounts for a range of brands, scaling accounts quickly and sustainably to hit targets
• Design and implement best-in-class experiments, updating our experimentation library with results
• Manage client relationships, run regular WIPs, and project manage deliverables through our internal sprint system
• Utilise AI tooling and collaborate with our technical team to automate repetitive work and build a scalable system
• Perform detailed analysis, cross-referencing account data with GA4 and other data sources to drive results
• Mentor and coach a growing team of junior staff
• Build financial models forecasting performance across different spend thresholds
• Ensure conversion actions are set up correctly and UTMs are maintained
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track performance
• Build strong relationships with Google and Bing account managers, staying up to date on betas, tooling and industry trends

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Google, Bing and other search platforms
• Hands-on experience with GA4, building reports and performing analysis
• UTM and conversion tracking experience
• Experience using tools like Supermetrics, Funnel and Looker to manipulate and visualize data
• Strong systems mindset and writing capability; documentation and internal wikis are part of our culture

What the interview process will look like:

We run a fast and disciplined four-stage interview process designed to be respectful of your time while ensuring a good match.

• Culture Interview: 15–20 minute phone call with a Founder to discuss motivations, cultural alignment, proactiveness, ownership, work quality, and growth mindset.
• Role Related Knowledge: 30-minute interview with your direct manager to assess skill levels against role requirements.
• Leadership: 30-minute call with a Founder to discuss motivation, teamwork, and personal attributes aligned with our values.
• On Site Work Day: Fully paid on-site day with tasks similar to day-to-day work. We will pay $1,000 AUD and can accommodate personal circumstances.
