The Role:
We're seeking an experienced and visionary Product Design Director who is ready to take the lead in shaping innovative, user-centric digital solutions. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone with a deep understanding of design principles, a strategic mindset, and a knack for fostering relationships with senior stakeholders.

You'll lead high-profile projects, build and nurture our design practice, and drive growth both internally and externally. With a focus on business objectives, you'll ensure that the work you deliver not only delights users but also aligns with our clients' goals. You will also partner with the General Manager in pitching to new clients and winning business to grow Exo Digital's portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leadership & Innovation:

  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive the development of forward-thinking design solutions that balance user needs with business goals.

• Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Understand the business objectives behind every project and ensure design solutions deliver measurable value.

• Pitching & New Business Development:

  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to pitch innovative solutions to prospective clients.
  • Lead design-related discussions during pitches, showcasing Exo Digital's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Play a critical role in crafting winning proposals and securing new business opportunities.

• Strategic Growth:

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts by proposing innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Play a shared role in driving business growth, contributing to strategic decision-making and client acquisition.

• Practice Development:

  • Shape and grow the design practice at Exo Digital, ensuring it stays ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Champion a growth mindset within the team, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience & Education:

  • At least 10 years of experience in product design or a related field, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
  • A University Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering or a related field.

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Exceptional ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

• Commercial Acumen:

  • Strong business sense, with the ability to align design efforts with broader commercial objectives.

• Pitching Experience:

  • Confidence and expertise in presenting to prospective clients, leading design discussions, and contributing to new business pitches.

• Growth Mindset:

  • A proactive approach to building and improving, with a passion for growing client accounts and enhancing the team's capabilities.

• Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
