About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Product Design to lead our product design team in driving innovation and shaping key customer experiences. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of domain knowledge across platform products and leading a team of product designers.

As a Director of Product Design, you will oversee the end-to-end user experience designs of your team across desktop, mobile web, and app. You will steer your team's designs as they navigate through ambiguity, exploring conceptual, JTBD, and competitive landscapes to achieve product market fit.

You will provide concrete, actionable feedback to your team members, helping them steer through stakeholder and projects to achieve effective progression. Additionally, you will proactively establish and evolve our design system and guidelines to ensure effective support, consistency, and high quality across all of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop an in-depth understanding of domain knowledge across platform products.
  2. Lead a team of product designers, providing mentorship to help them grow their skills.
  3. Navigate through ambiguity, exploring conceptual, JTBD, and competitive landscapes to achieve product market fit.
  4. Oversee the end-to-end user experience designs of your team across desktop, mobile web, and app.
  5. Steer your team's designs as they storm through product requirements, using your structural product knowledge.
  6. Provide concrete, actionable feedback to your team members, helping them steer through stakeholder and projects to achieve effective progression.
  7. Proactively establish and evolve our design system and guidelines to ensure effective support, consistency, and high quality across all of our products.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience as a UX/Product designer, including 4+ years in a leadership role managing designers.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech start-up environment.
  • Strong product logic & first principle thinking.
  • Ability to explore and thrive in ambiguous project contexts.
  • Solid track record of project management and delivery.
  • Outcome-oriented.
