Mental Health Team Leader

QCS is hiring a Mental Health Team Leader at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre. This leadership role oversees a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical supervision and operational management. Responsibilities- Demonstrating your advanced clinical skills in the provision of clinical care, and maintaining a client caseload commensurate with responsibilities of the role.
- Using frameworks to guide professional judgement, problem solve and manage complex situations.
- Coordinating the process of referral, crisis management, assessment, reviews and transition planning within a case management framework.
- Chairing and leading multi-disciplinary meetings, for example, those that oversee centre decision-making regarding suicide risk assessment and management, and case management of prisoners with complex needs.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop partnerships that contribute to operational and clinical outcomes.
- Directing, managing and coaching using contemporary human resource practices, and sharing professional and clinical knowledge to build consistent service delivery capability.
- Creating an engaged and high-performing team with a focus on work-life balance and strong team culture.
- Using excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster an engaged team and high-quality, person-centred care.
