We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Team Lead to join our Mining Division, acting as a vital interface between the engineering function and the broader business. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead a high-performing team that designs, develops, and delivers cutting-edge solutions that meet the critical demands of the mining sector.

About The Role

As the Engineering Team Lead, you'll take ownership of engineering planning and execution across the full project lifecycle. You'll work closely with Operations, Solutions, and Capital & Energy Business Managers to ensure engineering excellence and alignment to Ampcontrol's strategies for innovation, growth, and customer satisfaction.

You will also lead and mentor a team of skilled engineers, ensuring capability development, quality outputs, and adherence to industry standards and project governance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management: Oversee engineering task allocation, schedule and resource management, capacity planning, and ensure team alignment with business goals and project management standards.
  • Engineering Design & Delivery: Lead solution design and tendering to relevant standards, support bids with technical input, conduct design reviews, and maintain design integrity with minimal non-conformance.
  • Product Development & Standardisation: Develop standardised products, implement innovative technologies, drive continuous improvement, and streamline engineering processes to boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary engineering liaison across Mining Business Units, providing technical direction and supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet project, budget, and customer objectives.

You are a dynamic and technically proficient engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. You're experienced in project and people management, and your systems engineering expertise enables you to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.

To Succeed In This Role, You'll Bring
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and compliance standards
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and International engineering standards
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills
  • Professional registration or eligibility with Engineers Australia is highly desirable
