    About The Role

    Reporting to the Coordinator Strategic Planning, the Strategic Planner is responsible for managing planning scheme amendments, and strategic planning projects. This is achieved through being a highly skilled planning professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Key Responsibilities Of The Position Include
    • Lead, draft and implement planning projects; and planning scheme amendments.
    • Research and analyze land use and development planning issues so as to make recommendations and decisions from available options. Issues can often be complex and require creative thinking and clear written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to present clear and structured information and concepts for various audiences including but not limited to the various members of the Bass Coast Community, Councillors, Executive Team and Planning Panels.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in customer service.

    a Bit About You

    You will hold tertiary qualifications and have substantial experience working within Strategic or Statutory Planning in local government or the private sector and will have the ability to manage significant projects.

    You will have highly developed oral and written communication skills, proven ability to work as part of a team as well as strong skills in negotiation and conflict resolution.
