Introduction to the Role
The successful applicant will play a crucial part in managing primarily offsite repair opportunities across all Key Account for the Metso Service Business line and achieve Sales targets. This will be achieved by establishing Key Account relationships at all key levels, along with assisting with problem solving on equipment and operational issues, resolving commercial issues, maintaining existing business, along with sourcing and developing new business and opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible to deliver profitable business growth for repairs from regional site accounts
- Responsibility to create the repairs relationship with the key people at the site and share those with the organization, connecting key interfaces
- Focuses on after-market repairs business, yet can identify the investment/capex opportunities and is responsible to convey the customer requirement to capex sales in conjunction with the SAM
- Seeks and coordinates for best resources and channels to be used for customer facing repairs activities
- Understands customer business and is capable to argue Metso repairs added value at our Karratha facility
- Drives site repairs activities together with cross organizational site account team and understands customer's operational expenditure related decisions and buying timetable in conjunction with the SAM
- Active member of the MA Key Account/Global Key Account team I/A
- Ensure repairs Account data is up to date in CRM systems
- Drives site account repairs planning and implementation (strategy, relationship, site level budgeting, activity plan, repairs roadmap) in conjunction with the SAM maintains and shares information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plan
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven track record of 5 years of more in achieving sales targets.
- Intermediate understanding of accounting procedures including profit and loss, budgets and gross margins.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy in MS Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Must have current motor vehicle license and passport.
- Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time by motor vehicle and commercial flights.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills.
- Excellent selling and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in sales and/or servicing to the Pilbara region or similar.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Trade Qualification or similar discipline (not essential).
