Overview

Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, doctors lounge and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking. From cardiothoracic surgery and neurosurgery to luxury maternity and excellent emergency care, Northern Beaches Hospital offers a wide range of services that can help you build a healthcare career in your chosen field. NBH is a teaching hospital with partnerships with Macquarie University and other tertiary education institutions. Ward 6D is a 30-bed ward that cares for acute medical patients, focusing on geriatric care. We support continuing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.

Responsibilities
  • providing patient-centred customer service including greeting all customers and handling enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • booking and rescheduling appointments
  • maintaining accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • liaising with medical staff
  • undertaking general administration duties
  • liaising with other areas of the hospital
  • managing patient electronic records ensuring privacy and confidentiality of patient information
Essential Criteria
  • experience in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility/hospital
  • highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
  • good computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • track record of providing great service and customer experience
  • strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills
  • ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
