Ward 6D is a 30-bed ward that cares for acute medical patients, focusing on geriatric care. We support continuing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.

Responsibilities

As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • providing patient-centred customer service including greeting all customers
  • handling inquiries with a friendly and professional manner
  • booking and rescheduling appointments
  • maintaining accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • liaising with medical staff
  • liaison with other areas of the hospital
  • management of patient electronic records ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information
Essential Criteria
  • experience in an acute patient focused healthcare facility/hospital
  • highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments
  • good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • a track record of providing great service and customer experience
  • strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills
  • ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
