PositionWard Clerk – Birthing Unit and Special Care Nursery (permanent part-time)
You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.
Responsibilities- Greet all customers with care and compassion, so that patients and families feel comfortable during their hospital stay
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and Nurse Unit Manager
- Preparation of patient files, appointment lists and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files
- Medical record filing
- Providing clerical support to the clinical team
- Liaison with allied health, ward persons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers
- Previous experience in a medical environment
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Well organised, able to prioritise, plan ahead and work under pressure
- Ability to work autonomously in a self-directive environment
- Experience with medical terminology
- Experience with Webpass Medical System
- Experience in ward environment
