About The Role

The Dubbo community CAMHS team is focused on providing evidence-based, high-quality, and person-centred clinical care to children, youth and their families and carers, with significant and complex mental health challenges.

The CAMHS service works with young people for whom a mental health crisis or emerging mental illness is significantly impacting on their quality of life and daily functioning. Most often, our clients are experiencing multiple complex mental health challenges that are resulting in elevated levels of distress and reduced levels of functioning. Our care interventions continue up to the point where the young person's recovery can be continued with a lower intensity service or the primary care provider.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Lead - Dubbo Infant, Child, Youth & Family Mental Health Services will provide professional clinical services demonstrating sound clinical reasoning, effective problem solving skills and quality management of clinical situations to improve the health and wellbeing of those accessing the service. The Clinical Lead will also provide supervision and mentoring to staff, including clinical advice, support, consultation and education for clinicians.
