This role is central to optimising our merchandise systems, ensuring they are aligned with strategic goals, resilient, and designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers.Reporting to the **Group Head of Core Retail Delivery**, you'll shape the technology strategy for merchandise foundations, drive continuous improvements, and enable data-driven decision making. You'll also play a key role in collaborating across Core Retail and Tech teams to deliver impactful business outcomes.**What you'll do*** Lead and optimise merchandise foundations through innovative use of technology systems.* Lead and develop a team of up to 7 fostering growth and collaboration* Provide strategic oversight of merchandise products, pricing, ranging, and inventory systems to support business and customer outcomes.* Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Core Retail and Technology to deliver on broader priorities.* Drive operational efficiency through data-driven insights and continuous improvement.* Proactively monitor systems to maintain stability, reduce risk, and strengthen resilience.* Support and inspire your team to thrive and grow, while contributing to an engaged and collaborative Core Retail team.**What success looks like*** A clear merchandise foundations tech strategy and roadmap in place.* Delivery of priority enhancements and continuous improvements.* Key risks proactively identified and effectively managed.* Strong collaboration with Tech peers and merchandise stakeholders.* A high-performing, engaged team contributing to Core Retail's success.**About you**You're an experienced leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, retail, and strategy.
