We are seeking a dedicated Solicitor in Care & Protection/Family Law to provide culturally safe legal support to First Nations communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and representation in Care & Protection/Family Law matters.
  • Provide culturally safe support, including referrals, dispute resolution, and Duty Solicitor services.
  • Ensure compliance with ALS policies, manage administrative tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to law reform, policy development, and community legal education.
  • Engage in outreach clinics and professional development activities.
Candidate Profile
  • Legal qualifications with an NSW Practising Certificate or eligibility.
  • Experience in advocacy and representing clients in court or tribunals.
  • Knowledge of Care & Protection and Family Law, with a willingness to expand expertise.
  • Understanding of the legal issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Strong time management, research, and analytical skills.
