Key responsibilities include coordinating the ICT procurement pipeline across the Information Technology Directorate and non-ITD divisions, developing policies and procedures for efficient outcomes, and creating procurement plans that enhance stakeholder engagement.
The role also involves end-to-end sourcing, partnering with stakeholders to implement innovative supply strategies, and providing expert advice to promote innovative practices. Additionally, the Coordinator leads procurement teams, applies governance frameworks for compliance and performance improvement, manages organisational demand, and develops strategies to enhance procurement capabilities in a complex legislative and supply market environment.

About You
- Lead, engage and drive a high performing team to deliver compliant and effective procurement outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge of, and recent experience in, procurement (sourcing), category or commercial management.
- Analyse and implement changes to improve the experience for all stakeholders.
- Your communication skills and capacity to influence and build relationships with team members and stakeholder will be first-class.
- Ability to work with a team and autonomously.
- Demonstrated initiative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and proven ability to initiate and participate in business improvement activities.
- Committed to innovation and continual service improvements and looking for opportunities to streamline and improve processes with a focus on service delivery.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- A valid Workign with Children Check for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

- Describe how you have coordinated a procurement pipeline. Include how you planned upcoming procurements, engaged stakeholders, prioritised workloads, and ensured alignment with business needs and timeframes (500-word limit).
- Describe a complex ICT sourcing activity you led. Outline your role, how you ensured alignment with government procurement frameworks, managed stakeholders and risks, and delivered value for money (500-word limit).

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years)
