Overview

A well-established Residential Construction business is expanding in the Illawarra and is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer / Accounts Clerk to join our small, supportive team.

About The Role

You will play a key role in the day-to-day administration of our business, working closely with clients, contractors, and our existing team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • General administrative duties
  • Liaising with clients and contractors
  • Bookkeeping and accounts management
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Payroll processing
  • Purchase Orders and bank reconciliations
  • Project job costing
About You
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping and administration (ideally within construction)
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software
  • Intermediate level Xero proficiency including reporting capabilities required
  • Strong understanding of accounts processes and project costing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Australian work rights required for this position
