Senior Technology Delivery Manager

As a Senior Technology Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for team performance and the delivery of complex technology products and services across one or more teams. You will set your teams up for success, represent them to stakeholders and suppliers, and build successful relationships within and outside the organisation. Your role involves identifying and removing blockers and inefficiencies, utilizing data to continually improve processes and outcomes.
As a senior member of the Home Office Technology Delivery community, you will share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the department and wider Government, fostering skills development and promoting good practices and standards.
You will support the UK's security and prosperity through the products and services you help deliver.
This position is available on a full-time or flexible basis, with some roles potentially combining office and home-based work. Where applicable, employees are expected to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office. Queries can be directed to the email provided at the bottom of the advert.

We are looking to fill key roles in various programmes and projects, including managing teams working with internal and external suppliers and functions. These roles involve managing risks and complex dependencies, requiring excellent collaboration, planning, and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
One role will focus on delivering time-critical decommissioning activities with complex dependencies in a resource-constrained environment.
Three roles will work alongside other Senior Technical Delivery Managers within the Biometric multiple solution environments, situated in AWS Cloud and Matcher Platform infrastructures. These roles will be responsible for end-to-end technical delivery within existing governance structures and may require innovative thinking.
Main day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Taking responsibility for delivering technology products and services, coaching teams in suitable methodologies for complex and ambiguous situations, and continuously improving processes.
- Creating and maintaining realistic plans to keep delivery on track within quality, cost, and time constraints, removing blockers and managing stakeholders.
- Developing motivated, effective teams, fostering collaboration, providing direction, and giving constructive feedback. Monitoring team health and resolving issues.
- Identifying, understanding, and mitigating risks, involving specialists as needed.
- Managing engagement with technical and non-technical stakeholders, collecting feedback, and enhancing relationships.
- Acting as a point of contact for suppliers, monitoring performance, and resolving issues.
