Overview

OTR truck driver position with Nussbaum Transportation. Home weekly; most loads within a 350-mile radius; some loads may be up to 400 miles, but rarely. Hiring in Northeast Illinois into Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
  • Complete door-to-door practical miles—empty and loaded.
  • Perform pickups and deliveries, trailer relays and shuttles.
  • Maintain driver scorecard and safety standards.
Pay, Bonuses & Pay Features
  • Earn $63-70K your first year (based on experience).
  • Weekly guarantee: $1,200 - $1,250 (based on experience).
  • Tenure: +$0.01 per mile each year (up to +$0.50 per mile).
  • Driver Scorecard Bonus: +$0.02-$0.08 per mile (average driver earns $0.03-$0.05).
  • Certified RED Bonus: +$0.02 per mile.
  • Activity pay for the work you do, not just the miles you run: $20 for pickups and deliveries; $12 for trailer relays and shuttles; $20/hour detention pay (starts after 1 hour); $270-$280/day layover pay; Paid orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters — $200/day.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 6 months of recent experience OR completion of our training program.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Meet all other Nussbaum requirements.
Other

Early Exit Option: If you decide in the first 90 days that Nussbaum isn't the right fit, you'll receive a $1,000 bonus. Must haul for 30 days and separate before 90 days.
