Overview

History/Geography Teacher - Secondary School, Full-time, 12 month contract, start Term 1 2026. The School has an exemplary Humanities program and is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and highly experienced History/Geography Teacher to join the team of committed and professional staff. This is a full-time contract position commencing Term 1 2026 and finishing at the end of Term 4 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Teach History and Geography for stages 4 and 5
  • Recent experience in teaching History and Geography across Years 7-12
  • Inspire secondary age students with enthusiasm for their subject
  • Apply knowledge of recent developments in senior secondary pedagogy to the subject area
  • Collaborate effectively with the HSIE team and demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Use technology confidently and embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom
  • Work within and contribute to the School's Christian mission, values and ethos
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience teaching History and Geography across Years 7-12
  • Knowledge of modern pedagogy and its application to HSIE
  • Experience with International Baccalaureate MYP/DP is an advantage but not required
