More about the role:
Due to our exciting expansion into care for all cancer, we are evolving as an organisation. We are growing our nurse cohort beyond breast and are now funding McGrath Cancer Care Nurses (MCCNs) who will support people who have been diagnosed with other cancers.

We're looking to add to our existing highly skilled Nurse Clinical Lead team with this impactful role as Nurse Clinical Lead – All Cancers. This role is part of the Nursing Program function which is at the heart of McGrath Foundation's purpose. As a cancer nurse specialist, you will play an integral part in supporting and mentoring our McGrath Cancer Care Nurses in Victoria (VIC) who are providing care to people with a range of cancers.

For those of you that like a little more detail, key responsibilities include:

• Providing oncology nursing expertise to the McGrath Model of Care around treatment pathways and protocols for cancer nursing
  
• Working with the Nursing Program team to ensure consistency of information and support for MCCNs
  
• Sharing specialist clinical knowledge with the Nursing Program team and the greater McGrath Foundation team
  
• Monitoring and mentoring to MCCNs caring for people with cancer through providing clinical knowledge and guidance
  
• Applying expertise and professional experience to provide insights into the Nursing Program processes and offer feedback on opportunities to strengthen these processes
  

What you bring to the role:
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a cancer nurse specialist who is motivated and excited to play a key role in evolving the McGrath Model of Care as we take our care to all cancers.

The ideal candidate presents the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Registered Nurse and current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Tertiary Education qualifications in cancer nursing, ideally at Master level
Minimum 5 years' recent clinical experience caring for people with cancer (solid tumour types)
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
Ability to develop and deliver program and education content for the Nursing Program team and MCCN cohort

This is a permanent part-time position, working 4 days per week (0.8 FTE).
You must reside in VIC and have cancer nursing experience in VIC.
Working remotely is an option with the ability to travel locally/interstate as required.
Remuneration is based on a Clinical Nurse Consultant Level 2.
