Overview

Join to apply for the Pharmacist - Residency role at Metro South Health.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital Pharmacy Department offers a structured and supported two-year accredited residency program. In this role you will participate in the residency while delivering pharmacy services.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based pharmacy services, including clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention, and discharge planning.
  • Provide clinical education, supervision, and support to students, allied health assistants, and less experienced staff.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement, research, and service development initiatives under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Rotate through a variety of pharmacy practice areas to develop broad professional experience and clinical expertise.
About You / Qualifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams and engage patients and carers in care decisions.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, including participation in the formalised residency program.
  • A proactive approach to clinical education, service improvement, and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Participation in a 7-day roster with shift times between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Princess Alexandra Hospital

The Princess Alexandra Hospital is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We deliver world-class health care across Brisbane City\'s southern suburbs, including emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, with recognised expertise in trauma management and organ transplants. The PAH hosts advanced medical research facilities including the Translational Research Institute (TRI) and a Clinical Research Facility.
