Commencing January 2026, the program will tailor rotations to suit your strengths and business needs, providing ongoing training, structured development, and valuable experience in a field where you can impact people's lives.
About The JobAre you an upcoming or recent Science Graduate with an interest in Consumer Healthcare? The Science Graduate role involves rotating across Science functions within the Opella organisation, providing comprehensive exposure to various roles and responsibilities. Your role will drive the advancement of complementary medicine by creating innovative, consumer-focused solutions, optimize product life-cycles by developing and implementing regulatory strategies, and ensure alignment between patient health and commercial success. You will collaborate with the Brand & Innovation team, Project Managers, Regulatory & Quality teams, and the Manufacturing team (CDMO) to ensure new product developments meet innovation, compliance, safety, and stability standards.

Main Responsibilities1st Year
- Graduate Scientist: develop and analyse Vitamin-Mineral Supplements (VMS) gummies; support formulation, testing, and analysis while adhering to regulatory standards and company protocols
- Research & Development: assist in formulating and developing new complementary medicine gummies (herbal and nutraceutical formulations)
- Testing & Analysis: conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to guide product development
- Stability testing: develop and validate test methods using instruments such as UHPLC, LC-MS, HPTLC
- Documentation: maintain records; prepare and review specifications, master formula, manufacturing instructions, stability protocols, BOMs, SOPs, method validation protocols/reports
- Regulatory Compliance: support product development in line with regulations; prepare regulatory documentation and ensure quality standards
- Collaboration: work with senior scientists, quality/regulatory teams, project managers, brand and manufacturing & supply departments; foster stakeholder relationships
- Continuous Learning: stay updated with trends in complementary medicine and participate in training
2nd Year
- Regulatory Affairs Associate: handle regulatory submissions for new products and lifecycle management; support regulatory review for promotional materials
- Regulatory Submissions: manage regulatory activities to meet business priorities and compliance in Australia and NZ; collaborate with stakeholders to drive early submissions and approvals
- Health Authorities Relationships: maintain relationships for timely approvals, optimal labeling and risk minimization; manage registrations and post-approval variations
- Risk Management: support local regulatory risk assessments for new registrations and lifecycle management; review promotional materials
- Quality Systems: support maintenance of regulatory quality systems and audit readiness; manage corrective actions

About You
Education
Completed an undergraduate degree in Science (Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field) by December 2025. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
Work experience in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or FMCG is an asset; hands-on laboratory experience with standard analytical techniques is preferred.
Soft & Technical Skills
Passionate about complementary medicine; strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement; consumer-centric mindset; sustainability awareness; proactive self-development; clear communication; autonomous and entrepreneurial; proficient in English; MS Office (Excel); strong analytical, experimental design, and digital literacy; organized and time-efficient.
