Join Opella as a Science Graduate to drive innovation in complementary medicine through a 2-year rotational program in Brisbane.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Rotate across Science functions within Opella, gaining exposure to various roles and responsibilities.
  • Drive advancement of complementary medicine by creating innovative, consumer-focused solutions efficiently and competitively.
  • Optimise product life-cycles by developing and implementing regulatory strategies to accelerate access to new products and enhance portfolio value.
  • Collaborate with Brand & Innovation, Project Managers, Regulatory & Quality, and Manufacturing teams (internal and external CDMO) to align new product developments with innovation strategy and compliance standards.
  • In Year 1, work in the Development Centre on Vitamin-Mineral Supplements (VMS), especially gummies, supporting formulation, testing, analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments, stability testing, method validation, and maintain detailed documentation including product specifications and regulatory reports.
  • In Year 2, transition to Regulatory Affairs Associate role handling regulatory submissions, lifecycle management, and promotional material review for Australia and NZ.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with health authorities to negotiate approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support risk management, quality systems maintenance, audit readiness, and compliance with corrective actions.
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Completed Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field) by December 2025; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Work experience in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or FMCG is an asset.
  • Passion for complementary medicine and its health benefits.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Consumer-centric approach and commitment to sustainability.
  • Clear communication skills, able to translate complex data into accessible narratives.
  • Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; advanced statistical analysis and experimental design capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and time management skills.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Brisbane by end of January 2026.
