About The Role

As a Hospitality Trainee at IRT Greenwell Gardens, you will help create a comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents and their families. Your responsibilities include providing excellent hospitality services, serving meals with care, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and supporting residents' well-being.

This full-time role involves a combination of morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday. You will be studying a paid Certificate II in Health Support Services as part of your traineeship, which lasts for 12 months.

Your Work May Include
  • Assisting catering staff with basic meal preparation
  • Delivering and serving meals to residents
  • Performing general laundry duties, including personal laundry
  • Interacting with residents and building meaningful relationships
  • Following strict food safety guidelines
  • Supporting domestic duties such as laundry and cleaning
To Be Successful You Will Have
  • Experience in hospitality or food services (highly regarded)
  • An empathetic approach and strong customer service skills
  • Experience in a health or aged care setting (desirable)
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Not currently studying or having completed a Certificate II in Health Support Services or higher
  • Basic internet knowledge and access to the internet
  • Computer skills and basic digital literacy
  • Basic reading and writing skills for assessments
  • Own a computer or device to complete course requirements
