About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is perfect for a CPA-qualified professional with at least 3 years' commercial experience, looking to step into a role that is hands-on, analytical, and closely tied to business performance.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations (GST, FBT, PAYG, Corporate Tax)
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and monitoring, and optimise cash flow management to maintain strong financial positions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, and other month-end activities
• Support financial reporting by performing variance analysis and providing detailed commentary across payroll and overheads
• Assist with budgeting and operational forecasting processes
• Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
• Contribute to finance system enhancements and reporting innovation
• Identify and implement process and control improvements across financial operations

The successful candidate:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• The energy and passion to deliver.
