A national leader within the industry, my client is seeking an ambitious and motivated Financial Accountant. The role and business is suited to someone who is energetic, flexible and keen to take a step up in their career. The business has experienced strong, organic growth in recent years. With a dynamic and respected leadership team, the group has an ambitious growth plan that will see it further cement its position and expand its Australian presence. My client would consider an experienced Assistant Accountant who is seeking a step-up in their career into a Financial Accountant role.

My client is located within North Sydney where they are close to public transport and offer 1-2 days work from home benefits. The Role

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Management for end of day processing and reporting of sales against budget for all sites.
• Review and in some cases preparation of daily bank reconciliations for all group bank accounts.
• Preparation of month end work-papers and debtors reconciliation process.
• Preparation and processing of general journal entries to correctly reflect the accounting treatment of transactions as necessary.
• Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Preparation of working papers and schedules to meet audit requirements.
  Provide support to the Finance Manager in dealing with external audit queries.
• Supporting the Finance Manager and Group FC with financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Reconciliation of bank statements to the general ledger.
• Assist the Accounts Payable team when required.

The successful applicant will have:

• Appropriate tertiary degree qualifications in accounting.
• Prior experience in a similiar role or an Assistant Accountant who is seeking a step-up.
• CPA/CA Qualification or desire to study towards it.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and motivated approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and within a flexible team environment.
