Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? We're offering an exciting12-month fixed term opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven Accountant to join our team supporting Ventia's Department of Transport and Australian Marine Complex contracts.

In this role, you'll be at the centre of our Finance & Accounting operations, managing complex tasks across end-to-end processes including Purchase-to-Pay, Payroll, Costing & Billing, and Forecasting. You'll work closely with contract personnel, project teams, and support functions to ensure accurate financial delivery and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience in purchasing, costing, billing, month-end closing, forecasting, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and IT skills (especially Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver quality work under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
  • A degree or diploma in business, finance, commerce, or accounting (or equivalent)
  • Experience working effectively within geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with operational managers and support functions
