Overview

Shift is a company dedicated to helping Australian SMEs with cashflow, trade terms and financial products. The role focuses on business development within the Commercial/Asset Finance Broker channel, building new business while maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers, and contributing to brand growth through industry events and sector presentations.

Are you a highly experienced BDM with strong relationships in the Commercial/Asset Finance Broker channel? This role uses developed relationship skills to increase revenue through our broker channel and collaborates with internal teams to keep customers at the forefront of our work.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the distribution of Shift's products into large corporate and enterprise-level customers by building relationships with prospective clients, understanding their objectives and identifying solutions to drive success.
  • Prospect and develop business by expanding your network across target industries.
  • Own your activities to meet or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with the Broker Sales team to capture opportunities and work with third-party introducers as appropriate.
  • Work with the project onboarding team to ensure successful product implementation and rollouts for new clients.
  • Evaluate opportunities from sales and risk perspectives to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a Sales/BDM role within Finance.
  • Experience delivering complex financial solutions to corporate or enterprise-level customers.
  • Self-starter with a proven history of success in a consultative sales role dealing with sophisticated business clients.
  • Ability to understand financial risks and levers, especially relating to working capital.
  • Credit experience is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
  • Develop and execute quarterly/annual sales plans within your region to meet objectives.
  • Activate and maintain a network of brokers; onboard, train and develop new brokers.
  • Represent Shift at aggregator and industry events; build trust and long-term relationships with broker networks.
  • Manage key relationships with aggregator sales personnel at state level.
  • Build Shift's brand awareness in your region and stay up to date with market trends.
