As Account Manager, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring Waters' products and services to the market. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of the customers' business and growth plans, and be able to translate that knowledge into solutions and offerings from Waters, with the primary goal of ensuring "customer success". This role offers significant flexibility working in the field, with responsibilities designated to a specific territory and/or markets.

Responsibilities
  1. Nurture and develop existing customers to grow repeat business.
  2. Prospect for new customers and contacts to expand growth.
  3. Plan and execute business development strategies to maintain a healthy sales funnel.
  4. Achieve and surpass sales targets for your territory.
  5. Coordinate and execute customer demonstrations in collaboration with demo lab specialists.
  6. Collaborate with departments such as Applications Support, Marketing, Service, and Order Operations to ensure customer success.
  7. Prepare business plans, territory plans, reports, tender documents, and product solution documents for clients.
  8. Prioritize and plan sales activities to maximize customer engagement.
  9. Manage product mix and pricing to meet targets.
  10. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards on-site and personally.
  11. Regularly update and utilize CRM systems for accurate data sharing.
  12. Participate in additional sales projects and activities as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific field such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry.

Experience:

  • Technical knowledge with practical solution selling experience, ideally in chromatography and/or mass spectrometry.
  • Laboratory experience with a background in chromatography and mass spectrometry.
  • Relevant industry exposure.

Skills:

  • Action-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with good time management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attentive listening.
  • Positive attitude, maturity, and commitment.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of analytical technologies, especially LC and MS.
  • Willingness to travel within your territory and occasionally to other countries for meetings, training, and support activities.
