The newly renovated Steampacket Hotel is looking for a qualified chef that can handle a fast paced kitchen and maintain a keen eye for detail

About The Role

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Chef to work with us on a full-time basis.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Contemporary menu implementation, attention to detail and plating techniques
  • Following instructions from Head Chef
  • Ability to work with fresh, high quality meats & seafood, and carefully manage suppliers
  • A strong understanding of ordering and stock rotation, including stock take
  • Unwavering food safety practices
  • Ensuring that kitchen production and presentation is always excellent quality
  • Ensuring that all workspaces are correctly setup prior to commencement of service

Key Selection Criteria
  • 3+ years' full time work experience
  • AQF Certificate IV or higher
  • Exceptional organisation, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and unsupervised
  • Available and willing to work rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
