Overview

Ofload's mission is to achieve zero waste in trucking by digitising the transport industry.


In Australia, 30% of trucks drive empty and 50% are underutilised, causing inefficiency and environmental impact. Since 2020 we have scaled to a team of over 100, removed nearly 5 million empty kilometres, and planted over 11,000 trees to offset our carbon footprint in partnership with One Tree Planted.


In 2022, we grew through the acquisition of CIA Logistics, raised $60m in Series B funding, and were recognised by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia\'s Most Innovative Companies.


The Role

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager, who is skilled at leading pricing, commercial contracts, supporting tenders and all commercial negotiations, along with commercialising Ofload's market strategy.


What You\'ll Do
  • Commercial Team leader working closely with the Sales and Commercial Team to convert business opportunities through pricing requests, tenders, and contracts.
  • Demonstrates end-to-end tender experience, including analysing tender requirements, formulating winning strategies, project managing tender processes, post-tender presentations, and final negotiations.
  • Shapes commercial letters and proposals with language focused on client expectations and other critical components.
  • Drives competitive pricing and optimises Ofload's margin position.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of a commercial contracts management system.
  • Proactively manages the contract renewal process and aligns stakeholders across the business to support the process.
  • Provides strategic input into the development of commercial solutions for new revenue streams.
  • Creates a market analysis framework to support recommendations on go-to-market strategy; develops competitor analysis and market trends sensing snapshots; executes deep dives into market segments to evaluate go-to-market approaches; systematises market monitoring and shares updates with leadership.
  • Budget management and revenue forecasting.
  • Coach, motivate and develop members of the Commercial Team.
  • Clear growth path to team leadership responsibility.

What You\'ll Bring
  • 10+ years experience in commercial, contracts, or tenders in a top-line growth function (e.g., corporate development, strategy, or investment).
  • Skilled negotiator with experience communicating effectively with different external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong data modelling skills and strategic acumen.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels. Team management experience is a plus.
  • High ownership in your work and readiness to tackle unfamiliar problems with energy and a drive to excel.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce and Tableau will be advantageous.
