Expressway Studio is on the lookout for a talented Mid-Weight Designer with solid experience in email marketing design to support our growing portfolio of marketing clients.

You'll be embedded in a creative and fast-paced environment, working alongside a seasoned team of project managers, and creatives. Your primary focus will be on producing high-quality email marketing assets across various platforms, with an emphasis on clean design, responsive layouts, and efficient HTML execution (no need to code from scratch).

Key Responsibilities

Design and build engaging EDMs across platforms such as Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, and others.

Implement and test responsive HTML emails using templates or platform builders.

Troubleshoot rendering issues using tools such as Litmus.

Collaborate with project managers and clients to bring campaigns to life across digital touchpoints.

Maintain brand consistency across email assets and other digital deliverables.

Efficiently manage time and deliver to deadlines in a remote or hybrid working setup.

About You

You are a solution-focused, proactive designer who thrives on solving problems, hitting deadlines, and making things look great across all devices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5+ years experience in digital design with a strong focus on email marketing.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building emails using platform builders (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Campaign Monitor).
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email (modifying code within templates).
  • Familiarity with Litmus (or similar) for email testing and rendering across devices.
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to UX, layout, typography, and brand alignment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Organised, independent, and resourceful – able to troubleshoot and find solutions.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working within a creative agency or with multiple clients.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. ClickUp or similar).
Term:6‑Month Contract (with potential to extend)Location:Brisbane-based or Remote (AU time zone preferred)
