Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Industrial Painter located in Tomago, NSW. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for the preparation and painting of various metal components using techniques such as abrasive blasting and applying industrial coatings. Daily tasks include surface preparation, mixing paint and coatings, applying coatings as per specifications, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The role also includes maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces and perform abrasive blasting as required for coatings application
  • Mix and apply industrial coatings according to specifications
  • Ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards
  • Maintain and calibrate painting equipment and tools
  • Follow relevant work instructions and quality procedures
Qualifications
  • Abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and industrial painting skills
  • Experience with different paint application techniques and mixing industrial coatings
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in an industrial setting
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role
  • Relevant certifications in industrial painting or a related field are beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in a heavy engineering or fabrication environment is a plus
