We are working with a very popular restaurant in Sydney which is part of one of Australia's most successful restaurant groups. This busy venue in Sydney seeks an experienced Pastry Chef to join their team.

This role focuses on the creation and production of pastry and desserts, offering a significant opportunity for a chef who excels in precision, innovation, and quality. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a sophisticated pastry menu, reflecting contemporary trends and classic techniques.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation in all pastry and dessert offerings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry chefs in the team, ensuring skills development and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of high-quality ingredients, with an emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a cohesive and exceptional dining experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining, high-end restaurant or 5-star hotel environment.
  • A strong portfolio of sophisticated desserts and pastries, showcasing skill, creativity, and knowledge of current culinary trends.
  • Culinary arts qualification, with a specialization in pastry preferred.
  • 5 years experience working as a pastry chef with at least 3 at CDP level.
  • Good level of English and the ability to pass the required English test for the visa.
