About OricaAbout the roleWe are seeking a dynamic and strategicManager – Human Resources Business Partnerto join our AusPac team for a parental leave coverage contract period of 11 months with the potential to extend. This role is pivotal in driving key people initiatives and supporting our Blasting Solutions Division. The preferred location for this role is Perth, however there could be flexibility to be alternatively based in Kurri Kurri.
As a key member of our HR team, you will partner with leaders and stakeholders to deliver strategic HR business solutions. You will support multiple Area Business Managers and Territory Managers through effective HR business partnering. In addition, you will partner on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and projects focused on talent attraction and retention. You'll also work closely with our internal ER Manager, who provides strategic guidance and advice on employee relations, including matters related to existing Enterprise Agreements.
This role offers a hybrid working model that supports your lifestyle, with less than 25% travel required, along with a competitive remuneration package. Given Orica's scale and global presence, there may be opportunities to explore ongoing or future roles beyond the initial contract term.
What you will be doing:- Partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic people plans that align with business objectives;
- Providing expert HR guidance and coaching to leaders on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational effectiveness;
- Leading and embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention;
- Collaborating with Centres of Excellence to deliver integrated HR solutions across performance, learning, and reward;
- Managing complex employee relations matters in partnership with the ER Manager, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation; and
- Using data-driven insights to influence decision-making and continuously improve people outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or relevant;
- Proven experience in HR business partnering across various business functions with desired experience also in heavy industry (mining, manufacturing, or similar sectors);
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the energy, autonomy, and confidence to make impactful decisions;
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders;
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and
- A genuine commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
