We are currently seeking a Payroll Officer for a 14-month fixed-term, full-time contract.

About the Role:

The Payroll Officer will support the Finance Manager in all payroll aspects and work effectively with the Finance Team.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for over 150 staff
  2. Administration of Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Child Support, & Workers Compensation
  3. Overseeing timesheet processes to ensure accurate data capture
  4. Reconciling and completing end-of-year STP finalisation
  5. Setting up and maintaining employee card files
  6. Responding to employee payroll-related queries
  7. Providing reports and information as required by Management, HR, and Finance departments

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MYOB AccountRight Plus
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & Adobe Pro
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
  • Previous experience within the marine and offshore industries is desirable
