Overview

We are Generators Australia, the leading supplier of Solar and Hybrid Lighting Towers, Hybrid Generators, Lithium Battery Storage Units, Solar Security Cameras, and Diesel Generators. Our inhouse design and development of renewable products provides equipment solutions to Construction, Civil Mining, Services and Event sectors. This is a full-time permanent role in St Marys.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in an outdoor yard environment. If you enjoy being active, working with machinery, and being part of a supportive team, this could be the role for you.

Role: Trade Assistant (Full-Time) — Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm.

No two days are the same; your responsibilities will include working in a busy yard, with full training provided.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and presenting machinery ready for hire and sale
  • Operating forklifts to load/unload equipment for dispatch and receiving
  • Moving equipment around the branch for cleaning, servicing, and storage
  • Keeping the yard safe, well-organized, and running smoothly
  • Assisting tradespeople with commissioning, assembly, and inspections of new assets
  • Weekly stocktaking of hire and new fleet
  • Handling paperwork between the workshop and operations team
What We're Looking For
  • A current forklift licence with practical experience
  • Previous machinery-driving experience (preferred, but not essential—we'll train you)
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work 47.5 hours a week with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Determination, resilience, and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
