Evolve Housing Group is a not-for-profit organisation focused on providing more homes for those in need. This role sits within the Strategic Partnerships, Programs & Asset Management team and is responsible for property development, capital works and acquisition of new housing to grow the portfolio and deliver more affordable homes.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, construction and handover of major projects/programs to a high quality standard, on time and within budget.
- Manage documentation, coordination, procurement, contract administration, programme and cost management for construction and/or acquisition projects.
- Deliver end-to-end project delivery from feasibility through planning pathways to construction, ensuring alignment with community needs, regulatory standards and organisational goals.
- Coordinate with developers, agents, landowners and partners regarding potential acquisition opportunities.
- Assist with submissions and bids for strategic opportunities, ensuring alignment with funding arrangements.
- Support growth and development activities to build a future-focused project pipeline.
- Prepare legal documentation for property-related contracts and due diligence reports for the Transaction Review Committee and Board.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including local councils, state agencies and community representatives.
- Manage agreements with consultants in line with Evolve Housing policies and procedures.
- Coordinate design development and handover of new projects to Service Delivery teams.
Project management
- Manage projects and consultants from early design through Development Application lodgement, tendering and construction.
- Review development approval conditions, identify risks and provide recommendations.
- Monitor compliance with approval conditions during design development and project delivery.
- Coordinate handover of new projects to Service Delivery teams.

Who we are looking for
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in property development, acquisition and capital works.
- Tertiary qualifications in property development, construction, engineering or architecture.
- Procurement, budget management, contract administration and negotiation skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational, interpersonal, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with a capacity to support innovative thinking.
- Significant experience delivering construction projects and capital works.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to translate complex ideas clearly.
- Independent, flexible and adaptable working style; collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to meet rigorous deadlines and understand construction site WHS and environmental requirements.
- High level computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of housing, community, disability, and government sectors (desirable).
- Experience in the community housing sector (desirable).
- Current NSW Driver's Licence; Construction Industry White Card.
- Willingness to complete National Criminal Check and NDIS check.
