Overview

Maternal and Child Health Administration Support – permanent part-time role (16 hours per week: Mondays and Thursdays) in Colac, Victoria. Located within two hours south-west of Melbourne; Colac Otway offers a diverse lifestyle with opportunities in primary industries, tourism, and community services.

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person to join our Maternal and Child Health team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high level administrative support to the Maternal and Child Health services, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in handling personal data and internal communications.
  • Become competent in the use of CDIS software, including calendars, appointments, group processes and reporting.
  • Manage incoming birth notifications, input data into the CDIS system, and arrange the first five appointments.
  • Handle incoming calls with courteous and effective communication, and follow-up as required.
  • Order, collect and display health information, library books and pamphlets for the centres; prepare fact-sheets, home visiting forms, information and health packs for parents.
  • Prepare venues for parent group meetings and maintain the Maternal and Child Health information on the Council website.
  • Provide support to nurses in the use of electronic record management systems (Content Manager) and Windows-based programs.
  • Prepare agendas and take minutes at meetings as required; undertake general administrative activities.
About You
  • Demonstrated administration skills and experience in an office environment.
  • Strong time management and ability to be responsive and flexible to work demands.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation and continual improvement of processes and projects.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience producing and publishing documents in printed and electronic formats.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
Salary and Benefits

Salary information: $34.02 to $35.84 per hour plus superannuation.
