About This Position
Join the Community Wellbeing branch and play a key role in supporting the Children's Services area
Join a dynamic and purpose-driven team supporting children and families through high-quality early childhood education and care. The Community Wellbeing branch is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administration Officer to play a key role in the smooth running of its Children's Services area, which delivers care to over 200 children each week.
This varied role is best suited to someone who thrives in a busy administrative environment.
The Administration Officer provides essential support across two Council-operated early learning centres—Lady Huntingfield Early Learning and Family Services Centre and North Melbourne Children's Centre—ensuring daily operations run efficiently and professionally.
Working closely with the Children's Centre Coordinators and the Children's Services Leadership team, the role involves managing the children's centre registration list, maintaining accurate and up-to-date data, and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and effective support.
The position is based four days per week at Lady Huntingfield and one day per week at North Melbourne, with shifts aligned to centre operating hours of 7:30am to 6:00pm

What You Will Bring (Selection Criteria)
All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and values. In addition, the position will require:
- Relevant experience or qualifications in the areas of business administration and / or education and care.
- Knowledge of the QikKids child care management process for fee processing would be an advantage.
- Advanced computer literacy and knowledge of general office systems including spread sheet and database management.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality written communication and well developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
