An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to lead operations at a vibrant, independently owned brewery pub in Melbourne. This role oversees the day-to-day running of the restaurant, bar, and event spaces with a strong focus on exceptional customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a front-of-house team that's passionate about great hospitality.
• Keep daily operations running smoothly, from service and safety to team vibe and compliance.
• Drive function and event sales, collaborating with marketing, brewers, and the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of on-site and off-site activations.
• Get involved in local marketing, socials, and community engagement to boost venue buzz.
• Join regular catch-ups with line manager to review what's working and plan what's next.
• Monitor and manage budgets, regularly reporting on financial performance and implementing strategies to improve profitability.
• Champion continuous improvement through feedback, team development, and operational reviews.

• Achieving or exceeding revenue, profitability, and event targets.
• Consistently high service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Strong team culture, high engagement, and low turnover.
• Successful delivery of high-impact events and activations.

About You:

• Experienced and confident in managing a fast-paced, high-volume venue or pub environment.
• Proven people leader with excellent coaching, team development, and performance management skills.
• Commercially savvy, energetic, and passionate about hospitality.
• Strong background in event coordination, budgeting, and operational planning.
• Excellent communicator with natural customer service instincts.
• Familiar with (or passionate about) craft beer culture and excited to collaborate with brewers and the wider team.
