Yard Hand – Bunbury, WA | Permanent Full Time

Forkwest is a locally operated forklift company in Bunbury, WA, now part of the Adaptalift Group, with 29 years in business. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to be part of our organisation focusing on forklift repairs and other commercial vehicles such as 4wd and light trucks. We have a great brand along with a new and modern workshop facility and are looking for a mechanically minded person motivated by delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintaining yard general tidiness and regular cleaning
  • Organising forklifts and equipment in the yard
  • Fuelling up forklifts on site upon return from hire
  • Arranging deliveries, loading and unloading containers and trucks
  • Meeting and greeting customers on site
  • Pressure cleaning forklifts in preparation for hire/sale
  • Record keeping (use of computer and tablet)
  • General duties as required or requested

Here Is What It Takes
  • Experience working in a similar role in a workshop or industrial yard setting
  • Physically capable to undertake the requirements of the role (lifting etc)
  • Current driver's licence and forklift ticket
  • Customer focused attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Proactive approach to work and strong work ethic
  • Intermediate computer skills including using systems to log machinery in and out
  • Basic mechanical knowledge / Mechanical aptitude
  • Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol screening
