$27.84 per hour plus penalty and shift loading

Fresh To Go Foods is a 100% Australian owned food service network, with six strategically located manufacturing centres around Australia. We make and deliver an extensive range of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and other convenience food to service stations, supermarkets, hospitals, and other food service providers.

The Role

This role involves ensuring that production quality assurance processes are in place, complied with, and records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign locations for production staff during production
  • Ensure all production staff comply with the company dress code
  • Adhere to FTG procedures, specifications, and policies at all times
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with staff
  • Meet all customer deadlines and specifications; notify of any exceptions
  • Ensure products are made according to recipes and specifications
  • Verify storage of ingredients and packaging in correct locations
  • Ensure labels are correct, accurate, and up to date
  • Conduct daily GMP quality checks
  • Set up and sanitize production lines
  • Maintain cleanliness of factory and office at day's end
  • Clean belts and floors, put away food, and remove rubbish regularly and before breaks
  • Some lifting required

Key Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead and coach team members
  • Ability to give clear instructions
  • Food processing experience, machine operation, and knife skills
  • Comfortable working in cold environments
  • Initiative to seek out work with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food safety, HACCP principles, and procedures
  • Understanding of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop and complete improvement projects
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
