Your new role

This role will see you a se4nior member of the insurance claims team, taking on a variety of claims from lodgement to settlement across multiple lines of general insurance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expert claims advice and support to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Act as a client advocate to ensure fair insurer outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, and third parties.
  • Lodge and manage claims efficiently, ensuring timelines and expectations are met.
  • Accurately record claim details and settlement outcomes in internal systems.
  • Use standard templates for all reports and correspondence.
  • Finalise claims and gather client feedback to improve service.
  • Prepare monthly claims reports and track key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain professional development and contribute to team projects and culture.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex claims from lodgement to resolution across various insurance lines.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance systems and tools, including claims tracking and reporting platforms.
  • Proven success in negotiating with insurers and advocating for client outcomes.
  • Experience supporting a diverse client base, including corporate, SME, and retail sectors.
  • Familiarity with external service providers such as assessors, repairers, and loss adjusters.
  • Solid background in general insurance with a minimum of five years in claims or broking roles.
  • Established professional relationships within the insurance industry, particularly with insurer claims teams.
  • High-level understanding of insurance product structures and claims procedures across multiple classes.
