Your day in the life of a Lion Innovation Discovery Manager

Due to parental leave the innovation team are currently looking for an experienced Innovation specialist for a 9-month fixed term contract to start immediately and be based in Sydney.

In this role you will drive the innovation funnel to create and grow Lion's owned RTD portfolio. This is a collaborative role across the broader innovation team, marketing, insights, and supply team. You will play a key part in Fueling our 3Y RTD innovation pipeline with new to Lion ideas.

A day in the life

  • Define & prioritise opportunity spaces for RTD pipeline development
  • Manage RTD innovation pipeline to deliver business goals and recommend on-going project prioritization
  • Lead insights though to validated concepts for the RTD pipeline and product development (liquid and packaging) to ensure insight is clear and consistent through innovation delivery
  • Partner with brand teams to develop Masterbrand Innovation Strategies and realise opportunities beyond existing brand portfolio
  • Support delivery of projects through Stage Gate applying the process for efficiency and the right governance

To be successful you will bring

  • Experience working in a fast-paced team. FMCG experience is highly regarded.
    • Experience in end-to-end innovation, product management and the role of NPD and value engineering in product life cycle
    • Strong project management skills
    • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and derive outcomes
    • Ability to build partnerships, influence and explore multiple pathways for solutions
